Harlequin, Mills & Boon

Noted publishers of  ladies fiction, HMB have acquired ‘Crypto Complete’ from SAS to handle backup encryption on their multiple IBM iSeries computers. Despite being one of the first in the UK to employ Version 7.1 of the operating system, the implementation went smoothly and successfully.



NHS National Services Scotland needed to distribute reports and sensitive data within the Edinburgh consortium.


After lengthy discussions with a number of MFT providers to no avail, the Consortium took advantage of the SAS offer of a ‘proof of concept’ (poc) trial after detailed demonstrations of the GoAnywhere Services capabilities.


After a short poc trial The NHS Services management team chose GoAnywhere Services to provide secure browser based Managed File Transfer procedures.

Alexandra Plc

Universal Music

Part of Universal Pictures, Universal Music, as a global enterprise, were concerned about the security of iSeries data being transferred on a daily basis to other sites around the world. After a short trial of various options, Universal chose 'GoAnywhere' (GA) from Linoma Software to install at their UK site to provide automated data encryption/decryption processes. Focus

One of the largest DIY retailers, Focus chose SAS to provide RPG development support and consultancy for a number of years.




HSBC

Perhaps the largest supplier of full-time and contract staff in the UK, Manpower chose SAS to provide iSeries system testing tools and consultancy.

Majestic Wine Warehouses employed SAS to document their i-Series applications. This involves both the documentation development and the provision of the Arcad "Observer" product.




The Computer Group

RENOLIT Cramlington is an internationally successful organisation with over 60 years of experience in

manufacturing decorative surfacing materials. Upgrading their IBM i-Series, software upgrades costs for some

of their development tools proved prohibitive. A short trial of Surveyor400 from SAS proved that it not only offered

significantly more usable functionality but that the cost was much lower than they had anticipated.

The UK's largest specialist air conditioning and heating hire company were faced with an urgent need to provide  a large number of invoices to one of their largest clients, electronically.

SAS were quickly able to prove that GoAnywhere Director (GAD) would provide the solution they required. Andrews Sykes also realised quite quickly that GAD would also accommodate other File transfer needs especially where they were uploading from servers that supported different databases from their existing DB2 install.

The Norwegian Mapping Authority (Norwegian: Statens kartverk) is Norways’ National Mapping Agency, dealing with land surveying, hydrographic surveying, cadastre and  cartography.

Having spent more than twelve months searching for a suitable solution, the Institute had resigned themselves to building their own solution for complex file transfer needs. SAS were able to quickly prove via a ‘proof of concept’ trial that GoAnywhere Director (GAD) could not only provide the solution they needed but that it could handle other MFT needs they had not addressed at the time.

So convinced are they that the benefits are being achieved, the Institute is now evaluating GoAnywhere Services and Gateway to provide browser based access for the upload/download requirements of their partners and customers.
